Blendavenda "Rocking the Daisies"!

On 7-9 October, Blendavenda was thrilled to have been invited by Greenpop, to participate in this years Rocking the Daisies music and lifestyle festival, now in its 11th year, at Cloof Wine Estate in Darling. Leading the way in influencing festival-goers towards living an eco friendly lifestyle, it was the perfect outing for the Blendavenda crew, in conjunction with Bicycle Cape Town, to promote the benefits of healthy living and using a bike as a means of transport. What better way than to have pedal-powered smoothies, which proved a very popular draw. A beautiful road bike, customised in the Blendavenda colours, was also raffled on the day and was donated by Ubuntu Bikes, Cape Town. The lucky winner to be announced this week!

Table Mountain provided a stunning backdrop to the event which was attended by hundreds of runners. Despite having clocked up 4kms in their race legs, participants were more than keen to jump on the smoothie bike and take part in the Blendavenda “smoothie challenge” with prizes for the fastest person to cycle 500m (and blend a delicious smoothie!). The winner managed a very impressive 32.2 seconds!
